Women's Art Prize Tasmania officially launched by Governor Kate Warner

Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Kate Warner AC officially launched the Women’s Art Prize Tasmania on Tuesday October 16, with entries open until Friday December 14.

Originally established in 2002 as Material Girl, and re-launched in 2018, the prize aims to inspire, facilitate and celebrate the development of professional and emerging women artists in Tasmania.

Her Excellency spoke about the importance of creating opportunities for Tasmanian regional artists and the relevancy of an art prize that focuses upon women.

Entries are now open and close on December 14, 2018.
